IanBoddyWaveforms系列是SomethingElseMusicLimited公司出品的一系列
音色庫素材，該公司由英國傑出音色大師IanBoddy興辦于1992年。Waveforms音
色庫中的素材皆為350-600Mb的44.1KHz，24位WAV文件。

DrumalogueisthethirdtitleinIanBoddyWaveformsseriesof
samplelibraries.Thisisalibraryof1,000analoguedrum,percu-
ssionandone-shothits.Howeverthesearenottakenfromvintage
drummachines(ofwhichthereisalreadyplentyofcontentavailable
elsewhere)butratherallthesoundsarehandcraftedbyBoddyon
vintageanaloguesynthsandmodularsystems.Theyrunthefullgamut
fromthunderousbassdrums,crispsnares&hatsthroughtoabstract
synthhits&FXandevenweirdglitchy&industrialsounds.

Thesoundsareamixtureofmonoandstereosamplesandsomehave
genuineanalogueeffectsprintedonthemfromspringreverbs,bucket
brigadedelaysandphaser/flangers.Thisalladdsuptoacornucopia
ofdrumandpercussionsoundsthatcanbeusedinvirtuallyany
styleofproduction.

ThesoundsarealsomappedoutinKontakt2programswithabasic
envelopeandlow-passfilterprovided.Themodulationwheelisset
toturnthecut-offofthefilterdownasitisraised.These
programsarepresentedinthreedifferentways.TheAudition
programspresentallthesoundspercategorywithonesoundperkey
startingatC1.The18Kitpatchesfollowascloselyaspossiblethe
GeneralMIDIPercussionKeyMapfromB0(Key35)toB2(Key59)and
provideaconvenientwayofplayingsomeofthesoundsas"drum
kits".Finallythereisarangeofsoundskey-mappedoutinPatches.
Nootherprogrammingisincludedasthesoundsthemselvesare
"finished"anditisintendedtogivethecustomertheflexibility
ofaddingtheirowneffectsandmodulationsifdesired.
